If you are a foreign national planning to visit South Africa, you’ll need a visa. The “visitor” visa is designed for international travelers who permanently reside outside of South Africa. It applies to those wishing to visit the country temporarily for tourism or business. However, it is not indefinite; once granted, the visa is valid for a maximum of 90 days.
